Job Description


As a Field Sales Team Leader for Vodafone you are responsible for leading a team of Business Development Managers and driving the growth of Vodafone Business acquisition sales in an assigned territory. The Team Leader will report into the National Sales Manager and will be responsible for ensuring that their team is meeting and exceeding sales targets.


You will live the CPM DNA of We Care, We’re Curious and We Achieve together and will support your Team and wider CPM business by example through your passion and commitment for the role.

Requirements

  • Lead and motivate a team of Business Development Managers to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth in the assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to win new business and expand Vodafone Business's customer base.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to the Business Development Managers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to succeed.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with team members and provide feedback and guidance for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Marketing, Product and Operations teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Track and report on team performance against sales targets, providing regular updates to the National Sales Manager.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments and competitor activity, and provide insights and recommendations to the National Sales Manager.
  • Be the Leader: Demonstrate the behaviours and skills you want your team to exhibit, and be a role model for them to aspire to.


Functional Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Operations team to ensure effective management of sales processing, compliance, asset and reporting procedures
  • Create an exceptional culture of compliance across the Team to ensure that activity always is in accordance with internal, external and client guidelines and expectations
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and training of new staff as required
  • Support senior management with client reporting to provide insights from the field and help influence the client’s understanding of sales activity, challenges and opportunities



Experience amp; Competencies:


  • Undertake any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as instructed by your Line Manager
  • Two to five years’ experience leading successful field sales teams in the Business and/or Utilities sector
  • Experience providing coaching and development support to a field sales team
  • Strong IT Skills. Be comfortable working with Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook, and preparing presentations on Word and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrable knowledge and insight of the Irish telecoms market
  • Exceptional track record of leading high-performing sales teams
  • Confident communicator across all media types; able to motivate and influence others
  • Excellent time management to effectively balance the requirements of functional management processes with infield team support
  • Natural focus on results and creating a team culture and structure that delivers consistent levels of performance and success
  • Work on own initiative and continually look for ways to improve sales performance and processes
  • Positive mindset with a solution-based approach to challenges as they arise
  • Strong analysis and judgement skills to prioritise and focus energies where it will provide the best return for CPM and the client
  • Full driving licence and own vehicle
  • Field management experience within the Business Telecoms market
  • Experience creating and communicating KPI led sales plans
  • Understanding of the Vodafone portfolio and wider telecoms market
  • Awareness of the Irish business arena at local and national levels to maintain pipeline
