We are currently recruiting an experienced Groundworks foreman for a housing development project in County Kilkenny. Reporting to our Site Manager, you will manage the day to day operations and the delivery of the groundworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day to day supervision of the groundwork’s element on greenfield residential sites
  • Assess work activities to be carried out, plan the resources required in conjunction with the site programme to ensure that deadlines are met, and related works are carried out in the correct sequence.
  • Manage and coordinate both site staff and sub-contractors on site
  • Liaise and communicate closely with the design team and other stakeholders
  • Plan the daily resourcing and control of site labour and ordering of materials, completing the online daily site diary and relevant weekly documentation in accordance with company policy
  • Carry out company compliance and administration procedures and recording performance and progress of site operations and subcontractors
  • Other ad hoc duties that may be required by the Company
  • Manage and coordinate both site staff and sub-contractors on site
  • Weekly and monthly reporting of data and information to site teams, key stakeholders, and partners

Requirements

  • Degree/ Higher Diploma/ HETAC qualification (or relevant groundworks experience)
  • Significant site management experience on residential/commercial projects
  • Knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standards
  • A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for tasks/projects
  • The ability to lead, use initiatives and be self-motivated
