An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Private Client Adviser to join our Professionals and Executives Team at Davy.


Key responsibilities of this position will include :

  • Create an annual business plan, including a relationship plan for each client/relationship which covers revenue growth, funds under management targets and a service plan
  • Manage the development of those long-term client relationships against plan
  • Review the client list to ensure that relationships meet defined client servicing metrics
  • Skilled business developer, adept at identifying and developing new business opportunities to ensure effective opportunity streams for new clients, assets and revenues
  • Identify prospects with significant revenue potential, proactively pursue leads, and co-ordinate sales effort with Davy colleagues to close sales which are consistently at or above new recurring revenue (QFUM) target
  • Regular pipeline activity / management
  • Pursue leads and co-ordinate sales effort with Davy colleagues
  • Highly skilled in engaging and influencing others to create and grow effective partnerships, both internally and externally, to drive new business performance
  • Manage the cross-sell of Davy’s product amp; service delivery capabilities including goals based financial planning, tax, pensions, life, investment products, etc
  • Skilled in directing and managing (formally or informally) others involved in complex processes to ensure ultimate successful delivery of client advice and service
  • Ensure your team delivers high standards of professionalism and technical competence
  • Expert in making informed transparent decisions, considering the broader/longer term implications for the benefit of client and business. They must also be capable of engaging, directing and managing others in this decision making process and the execution of any solution, gaining consensus and agreement and managing collective work to successful conclusion
  • Encourage peers and team members to question established processes and suggest areas for improvement and should seek inspiration internally and externally to identify areas for improvement and innovation
  • Actively lead their peers in the business in championing continuous improvement, enabling breakthrough innovations as well as incremental improvements
  • Highly developed and extended sphere of influence that extends well beyond your own team in making a positive impact to both the wider Davy Group and externally
  • An exemplary team player capable of galvanising and leading a team from within as well as being highly self-motivated and independent self-starter who needs the minimum of supervision;
  • May have direct leadership accountability for others, be they Analysts, Associates or Sub-Segments, and so must be capable of leading and managing other people, and be able to take accountability for collective performance as well as their own;
  • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Davy’s Risk Management Framework and internal Policies and Policy Standards;
  • Take ownership for issues that impact clients, leading others where necessary to resolve them and proactively seeking opportunities to lead in develop business improvement (e.g. segmentation initiatives and projects) with the objective of identifying issues, solving problems and enabling breakthrough innovations as well as incremental improvements to the business and our client service.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2.1 Business/Finance Degree or equivalent
  • Expected 7+ years of relevant experience at this level
  • QFA and CFP qualification required
  • Expert knowledge of Pensions and Tax
  • A high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • A strong client focus to ensure effective service delivery
  • Significant portfolio
