Job Description

Reporting to: EU Commercial Director

Role Purpose:

To manage a portfolio of customers across multiple channels. To develop and actively seek new sales opportunities in line with business goals and objectives. In this role you will act as an ambassador for Kepak and work with internal teams to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.


ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Relationship management

  • Ownership for all aspects of customer satisfaction incorporating both internal and external relationship management
  • Be the voice of the customer internally and liaise with internal teams to maximise customer satisfaction
  • Establish customer expectations and manage accordingly to facilitate the smooth running of the account(s)
  • Manage all engagement with customers in a professional manner ensuring Kepak reputation as best in class supplier
  • Attend customer meetings and events on a regular basis to understand customer needs and market Trends

Account Planning and Category management

  • Develop and implement joint business plans with assigned account(s) to maximise category returns and drive sales through the account
  • In conjunction with the Commercial Director develop a strategic customer and market plan to deliver on sales amp; margin targets
  • Work with the category insights team to understand market trends and develop appropriate plans

Sales Optimisation and Stock Management

  • Identify best opportunities for short and long term management of stock to optimise returns
  • Attend routine calls to review stocks and align on stock optimisation plan

New Business amp; New Product Development

  • Continuous development of new profitable business through new or existing customers
  • Keep up to date with market trends and communicate with internal teams
  • In conjunction with the customer and internal NPD teams develop a profitable portfolio of products to satisfy the customer needs

Sales Pricing, Forecasting and Planning

  • In conjunction with the Commercial Director develop and manage pricing strategies with assigned customers to optimise returns and keep in line with market trends
  • Liaise with customer(s) to understand future requirements and prepare and monitor forecasts
  • Work with supply chain teams to manage customer demand and service level expectation

Monitor compliance to company policies including debtor management

ROLE DELIVERABLES:

  • Sales revenue and margin targets
  • Robust Account plans in line with business goals

  • Bespoke learning and development goals

Requirements

Skills amp; Experience

  • Min 3 years Account Management experience within the food/FMCG industry
  • Experience within the meat and/or food retail industry advantageous
  • Fluency in English written and spoken -
  • Fluency in Italian written and spoken
  • Other European language skills advantageous
  • Qualifications in relevant disciplines: business, food business, food innovation, agri-business, butchery, culinary advantageous
  • Competencies:
  • Proven track record in delivering sales targets and development of new business
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of account profitability
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Proven negotiation skills -
  • Self motivated, driven and ambitious
  • Project management skills
  • Strong organisation and planning ability
  • Full competency in MS Office applications
