Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for overall planning, coordination, execution, delivery and completion of Group IT projects on time and within budget.

Geographic Scope: Based in Ireland covering all Kepak geographies.

Reporting into: Chief Information Officer

Key Role Responsibilities:

Project Initiation

  • Work with Business team to document requirements, compile business case amp; budget and manage process through to approval
  • Develop a detailed project plan defining project tasks and resource requirements
  • Liaise with managers to ensure resources are available to support the timelines within the project schedule
  • To ensure core project management processes are in place: Risk, Issue, Change, Decision Logs
  • Assess impact to scope, schedule and cost and communicate with key stakeholders

Project Management amp; Execution

  • Lead project implementing a wide range of functionality in multiple phases across Group and manufacturing sites in Ireland and UK
  • Manage amp; own the project through the Initiation, design, build, test, release amp; support phases
  • Manage Third party partners in overall delivery, ensuring delivery on-time, within scope and within budget
  • To ensure core project management processes are in place: Risk, Issue, Change, Decision

Project monitoring amp; reporting

  • Monitor and report on project status to all stakeholders and Steering Committee reporting. Escalate issues as required
  • To ensure quality of project documentation, deliverables and outcomes is managed and assured.
  • To support and guide the project sponsor in management of the various stakeholders.


Requirements

Required:

• 3-5+ years’ experience in Project Management

• Proven ability to lead a project from initiation to successful completion

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Senior Management

• An understanding of all processes involved and have the ability to confidently challenge others at a level of informed understanding

• Good interpersonal skills to work in interdisciplinary teams

• Self-starter with flexible approach, capable of handling multiple projects in a fast paced environment

Desirable:

• Project management certification PMP, PRINCE2

• Management of 3rd Party Implementation Partners / Contracts.

• Experience in the Food Manufacturing Industry

Decision Rights:

• Project related scope, risk, issue, change (cost/expenditure to budget)

• Project Team and 3rd party resource management

• Escalation to Steering Committee

Advice and guidance to steering Committee based on experience

Proposed Metrics and Accountabilities:

• Deliver scope within schedule and agreed budget

• Management of 3rd parties

• Delivery of agreed KPIs and Milestones

• Escalation in a timely manner
