As a Consenting amp; Wayleave Officer you are a part of a very experienced team working collectively and collaboratively to achieve the goals of the project under the guidance from your Project Manager.
Predominantly site based nationwide (Ireland) but tends to be regional depending on timing of work allocations and customer priorities. Overnight stays and travel to and from site is an integral part of the job and fully covered. We will consider Part Time/Flexible working hours to suit the objective of the team.
Role and Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:
- Obtain required consent, wayleaves, and cable easements for deployment of FTTH (fibre to
the home) network
- Validate land amp; building ownership
- Build rapport with a wide variety of stakeholders
- Review amp; update work packs with internal project team
Work under your own initiative
- Mentor and develop new team members
- Ensure client specific procedures and specifications are implemented
- Act responsibly when attending any site visits and protect the interests of both client and
the Customer always
- Be professional, safety conscious and conscientious always both on and off site
- Interface and liaise with all those involved on site including members of the public, local
authority representatives, landowners, council officials and any other 3rd party
- Familiar with data collection devices and methods using iPad or similar PDAs
- Comply with company policies/procedures without exception
- Adhere to mandatory Health amp; Safety legislation without exception
Requirements
- Competent in reading and interrogating maps
- Fluent in use of smart phones and tablets
- Excellent communication, interpersonal amp; diplomacy skills both oral and written
- Self-motivated, assertive, and enthusiastic
Strong influencing amp; negotiation skills
- Positive amp; organised problem-solving approach
- Committed and flexible
- PC Literate (proficient in MS Office) with good reporting and communication skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to multi-task in a structured format
- Familiarity of utility networks
Pre-requisites
- 3rd Level degree with focus on property management, valuation amp; land survey
- Utilities (e.g., ESB, eir, NBI, BT, NIE) or other consenting amp; wayleave
experience advantageous
- 2 to 3+ years in a similar role during telecoms or electric network rollouts preferable but not
essential
- Full clean driving licence
