We are looking for a portion control butcher/general butcher to join our John Stone Fine Foods Team. General duties include the production of portion cut steaks and cuts to John Stone Fine Foods Customer specification to accuracy as required. Undertake all duties as directed by their manager/supervisor. The role involves the employee being an integral part of the team, working together and meeting production plans.
Reporting to production manager.
- Trim and slice accurate weight steaks and cuts, as directed by their supervisor, to customer specification at agreed targets and tolerance.
- Be familiar with the daily production plan and work as part of the team to set up the line, complete checks and ensuring materials are ready to use. Perform all pre start, hygiene and safety checks as directed.
- Ensure that the product is of the highest standard and report any issues to the Line supervisor immediately.
- Participate fully in Lean Manufacturing processes and embrace new methods of working.
- Other duties will be part of the role this will be specified by your direct line Supervisor.
Requirements
Previous Portion control experience is essential.
Previous experience working in a high volume meat processing factory highly beneficial.
The ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, ability to multitask under pressure.
