Job Description

Summary/Objective

Security Risk Advisors is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated candidate to join our Business Operations Team as an Accountant, in our Kilkenny office. The Accountant will work with our Accounting Team on critical financial functions, maintaining records, and developing our accounting systems and procedures.

The Accountant will be working with the Accounting Team on the following functions:

  • In general, oversee Ireland office financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
  • Work closely with US Accounting team.
  • Provide payroll assistance and support to third-party bookkeeper in Ireland.
  • Coordinate payroll, benefits and tax queries between employees and third-party bookkeeper.
  • Handle procurements and payments to vendors, contractors, and service providers, direct debits and ad hoc payments. Process sales invoices and receipts.
  • Assist third-party bookkeeper with any tax and related forms.
  • Serve as the point of contact for AIB bank and credit card administration.
  • Coordinate all Ireland employee expenses.
  • Stay up to date on best practices, tax law changes, and attend relevant conferences and seminars. Be present in the office regularly.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • 1 to 3 years general accounting experience within a business environment
  • A degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
  • IATI qualification or equivalent desirable
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Concur, and Surf Accounts a plus

  • Ability to maintain ledger to meet Ireland tax requirements and US reporting needs

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This is a hybrid role, so the teammate could work from home part of the time, but some office presence is expected.
