Role Overview:
The Treasury Manager role sits with the Global Payments Treasury function. This role is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast paced, solutions driven environment, crafting strategic and rapid fixes to continuously deliver a best in class payments service to our clients. You will be tasked with managing the Treasury Payments Function with teams responsible for diverse Treasury processes relating to liquidity and cash management, FX, end to end payment flows including time sensitive payroll and tax transactions, safeguarding funds and mitigating risk. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior manager to join our Treasury Department as a Treasury Payments Manager. As an individual you will be a strong People Leader with excellent problem-solving skills, intelligent methodologies, tools and skillset to optimize efficiencies and deliver against payment deadlines. You will work closely with the Head of Treasury, Head of Global Settlements and Payments Managers across a multi-jurisdictional payment eco-system.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee teams responsible payments processing, FX trading and liquidity and cash management and safeguarding of client funds
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all global payments processed within the Treasury team
- Ensure effective sharing of information and best practices is delivered across all teams within Treasury and with other key stakeholders
- Provide assistance and support to the Operations Managers to investigate, troubleshoot queries to achieve quick and clear resolution
- Adhere to escalation path and ensure all stakeholders are informed at regular intervals until resolution
- Working in tandem with the Operations Managers to streamline and improve payments processes to optimise efficiencies
- Learn new product offerings and train teams on resulting new processes/systems to support any new initiative or Product launch
- Act as advocate inside TransferMate’s Treasury Function, supporting the teams to quickly adopt change, removing barriers that may present along the way
- Promote a growth mind-set to ensure teams can thrive in an ever expanding payment landscape
- Collate information and prepare reports for clear onward communication and presentation to external parties, peers, and Senior Management Team
- Develop and mentor less experienced colleagues by providing guidance, motivation and support to enable professional development
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a financial environment with demonstrable skills in the management of payments processing, FX, and cash/liquidity management
- Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Intermediary to Advanced proficiency in MS Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
- Proven track record of managing a team and developing teams across multiple jurisdictions
- Experience working collaboratively across varying levels of employees while successfully building relationships with key stakeholders and Senior Executives
- Proven ability and experience in strong decision-making and being able to cut through ambiguity
- Bring a can-do attitude and a growth mind-set, approaching challenges with an open mind and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills in a time sensitive environment
