Job Description

As Managing Quantity Surveyor, you'll lead the financial management up to four projects while supervising and managing the work of a team.

Your main Duties

  • Ensure that all Quantity Surveying duties including measurement, procurement, cost monitoring, cost control, reporting, preparation of interim payments and settlement of final accounts and carried out in a professional manner and in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Ensure that the project programme from the Construction Team is received and agree the relevant dates for the procurement of each sub-contract package and adhered to
  • Ensure that all information required complete procurement and liaise with the Procurement Director to ensure procurement is completed in accordance with procurement guidelines.
  • Ensure attendance at pre-contract and kick-off meetings by relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure all relevant information is provided by QS teams to enable sub-contract and professional appointments are in line with the procurement schedule and procurement guidelines.
  • Oversee the procurement of subcontractor packages, in line with agreed procurement schedule.
  • Ensure all relevant sub-contract documentation is issued to the Subcontractor
  • Review appointment/ sub-contract schedule and update it regularly
  • Ensure all supplemental sub-contract documentation which will include pre-contract meeting agenda, collateral warranties, vesting certification etc. are issued in a timely fashion

Requirements

  • BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Significant experience with a developer or a residential construction company
  • Must have experience in either housing or apartment projects
  • Strong team management experience
  • Must have strong measurement and take off skills
  • Must have strong knowledge of building detail and construction technology
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
