What We’re Looking For

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our growing business for an experienced Legal Associate to join the Davy Group Legal Team. This position requires a motivated and adaptable self-starter with proven experience of delivering work to tight deadlines and a team player who is also comfortable taking individual ownership of several activities.


Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track requests to the Legal team from receipt through to completion.
  • Maintain and manage the Legal inbox including logging new queries, allocating responsibility, and tracking response times.
  • Manage the Legal Issue tracker and triage issues received internally and externally.
  • Diary management.
  • Preparing and amending documents, letters, and emails on behalf of the Group Legal and Client Engagement function.
  • Prepare monthly complaint and legal MI reports.
  • Prepare quarterly Board reports and relevant packs.
  • Other MI and data management duties as required.
  • Manage payment of invoices and tracking of insurance payments/claims.
  • Assist with the development of a suite of process documents for the Group Legal, Data Protection and Client Engagement Team.
  • Support mandatory training function within the Legal Team.
  • Attend relevant cross group forums and assist with the implementation of actions arising from such.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects where they arise.
  • Provide varied legal support to the wider business as required.
  • Conduct legal research as required.
  • Compliance with risk and compliance frameworks
  • Leaving certificate qualification or equivalent. Third level Qualification preferred.
  • Previous secretarial or administrative experience within a legal environment desirable.
  • A demonstrable interest in legal matters and willingness to complete further education in this area, if required.
  • An ability to manage several tasks/activities, prioritise as required and track to completion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to adapt and willingness to work on a variety of matters.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and ideally Power BI.
  • Excellent typing speeds with attention to detail essential.
  • Inquisitive, self-starter who can show initiative as well as work as part of a team.
  • Analytical approach and attention to detail with good organisational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop good working relationships across the business and willingness to individually challenge collective thinking.
  • Ability to self-motivate and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment are essential.
  • Collaborative team-player who is intellectually curious, capable of learning on the job, and developing new approaches when there are no precedents.

Requirements

  • Leaving certificate qualification or equivalent. Third level Qualification preferred.
