Role Purpose:
Responsible for the co-ordination, training and development of high-quality site wide training plan in compliance with the group and site training strategic plan.

Site Health and Safety Manager
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
· Manage the site cross functional integrated training process on site
· Implementation of the site training strategy and framework
· Maintain training matrix for all business units including direct and indirect employees
· Maintaining all site training files for all direct and indirect employees
· Review and update integrated standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for all tasks on site in conjunction with the Frontline Managers and Departmental Trainers
· Review and update training validation and verification documents (VER’s and MC’s)
· Manage libraries of all training documents and systems
· Schedule and plan new training (internal and external) for each department but also refresher training when due to take place in accordance with expiry dates set out
· Partner with Frontline Managers and Departmental Trainers and support delivery of the Training on the production line / on the job training
· Partner with site senior management to identify training needs analysis at a site level including leveraging data from individual development plans
· Develop and implement procedures, knowledge and job aids in order to assess and support effectiveness of performance improvement, learning and development programs
· Conduct employee inductions, contractors’ inductions, temporary agency workers inductions and other in-house training
· Conduct Knife safety training, Manual Handling training and other customised site internal training and relevant assessments where necessary
· Oversee and monitor the effectiveness of all training including in house training and external courses/ programmes
· Work strategically with other functions e.g., production, technical, engineering, health, and safety, etc. to identify training opportunities to enhance operational results
· Conduct departmental training needs analysis and identify skills or knowledge gaps
· Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
· Work with and provide cover for site Health amp; Safety Officer
· Support site senior management teams in ongoing development and implementation of improved Health and Safety practices, policies, and procedures
Requirements
· Hold a third level qualification/Diploma in Health amp; Safety Management desirable
· Experience in the manufacturing industry is essential
· Written and spoken English fluency
Key skills / attributes / core competencies:
· Experience working within a Food Manufacturing Environment
· Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Office
· Train the Trainer Level 6, Manual Handling Instructor Qualifications
