Job Description

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Quality Controller will work in a team ensuring that the factory maintains its high levels of quality control and food safety through a process of data collection and monitoring. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory amp; statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance to the GMP and Hygiene standards on site

Complete preoperational hygiene inspections and report findings

Complete daily intake checks on incoming raw materials against defined specification

Raise non conformances to suppliers where necessary and manage non-conformance reporting

Complete and record daily quality inspections including label verification, metal detection

Complete and record daily quality inspections against product specifications

Complete daily GMP compliance checks throughout the site

Complete micro sampling according to SOP and review of micro results and actions required

Perform routine traceability checks

Printing and inspecting of new product labels at new product set up

Assist in management of customer queries and complaints

Assist in administration of Food Safety Management System

Work as part of the site team liaising with operations, supply chain and planning.


Requirements

PC literacy and strong communication/organizational skills

Excellent standard of spoken and written English

Experience of dealing with meat/food production/chilled food a distinct advantage

Ability to work independently and on own initiative
