Purpose of the role
As an Electronic Lab Technician, you will perform daily maintenance tasks in a semiconductor cleanroom environment while supporting the Customer in key areas throughout the manufacturing process. Your goal will be to adhere to facility standard operating procedures with a focus on safety and quality. Your success will contribute to the facilities overall throughput while simultaneously developing your own skills in a coveted and highly technical industry
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in electronics or similar field (Minimum QQI Level 6)
- Previous experience in performing fault finding and root cause analysis
- Previous semiconductor manufacturing and lab experience is an advantage
- Experience in electrical troubleshooting and repair is highly desirable
- Compliance with all safety and protocol specs and regulations
- Adherence to specifications and best practices
- Knowledge of root cause analysis methodology and continuous improvement programs highly desirable
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft office Suite
- Ability to a regular working week (Monday to Friday - 39 hours)
- Work in a controlled cleanroom environment, which will involve the wearing of a gown and relevant personal protective equipment
What you will be doing
- Perform failure analysis tests on returned items while accurately reporting on failure findings
- Troubleshoot, repair, saving and transferring log files while using in-house function testers
- Maintaining cleanroom and company protocols
- Ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained
- Performing quality checks in line with process specifications
- Using MS Office and in-house computer system as required
