As part of growing our current team to meet the requirements of a SAAS company we are looking for a System Administrator with a passion for learning new technologies and maintaining existing systems. Our estate covers on premise data centers, Azure deployments and multiple AWS tenancies running both Microsoft and Linux OSes with SQL and Oracle databases. Some of our main priorities are automating audit procedures and assisting second level functions.
For this role, we are more interested in hiring the right person, with a clear passion for technology and System Administration, a bright personality and desire to empower our customers.
Role Description:
- Support existing infrastructure both corporate and substantial development estate.
- Support audit functions with regular checks and automate these processes as far as possible.
- Take escalations from our internal helpdesk (IT Success) for wide reaching corporate issues.
- Maintain servers for patching and resolution of security vulnerabilities
- Deploy new servers, databases, tenancies in both Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS
- Support a zero trust network estate.
- Regular project work developing new services and upgrading existing systems
- You will be working as part of a larger IT team, to both individual and group targets.
- Hybrid working environment allowing mostly remote operation.

Requirements

- Possess the Administrator attitude of how to repeat functions and reduce manual processes
- Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, HyperV, and Azure AD. Microsoft Azure and AWS a bonus.
- Proficiency in English, excellent task management, verbal, and written communication skills
- Passion for technology with the ability to demonstrate some basic skills, competencies, or examples of your technical abilities.
