ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a talented contractor instructor/s to remotely deliver our 10-week Retrofit Advisor programme. Learners for this programme will be based in Ireland. This is a full time or a part-time opportunity (i.e. 5 days a week, or 2-3 days a week as a job-share).
This programme equips learners with the behavioural skills, mindsets, and technical skills needed to become a successful Retrofit Advisor in the Green sector. All curriculum materials/resources are provided for the instructor.The learners will be based across the country, but as delivery is 100% online, we welcome applications from anywhere in Ireland.
Our instructors are a key part of our bootcamps. They interact with participants on a daily basis and have the greatest potential to ensure that our adult learners succeed.
By joining Generation, you will become a part of a global community of instructors, with an opportunity to network and learn techniques from other trainers across the world. You will be supporting a cohort of approximately 25 students, many of whom have been marginalised or made redundant due to COVID-19, to break into the green jobs sector, thus creating a lifelong impact.
This is a fixed term contract, full or part for 12 weeks. There is the potential for this to become a permanent role for the right candidate.
Start date: 7th November 2022
End date: 13th February 2023
Contract length: 70 days. The first 10 days are for onboarding, followed by 50 days of teaching.
Holidays: There will be no classes for the Christmas break between December 19th - 2nd January.
Program hours: The course runs online Monday to Friday from 9-4.30pm.
Compensation: 420 per day
If as a job share, this delivery will be shared with another instructor and the exact days can be agreed together.
ABOUT YOU
You are passionate about the Green sector, and are an expert in the space (e.g. Retrofit Coordinator, Chartered Surveyor, or other role where you have built up expertise in the Retrofit space).
You will have experience running workshops or training sessions, ideally virtually, and are excited to be an instructor for a 10 week online programme.
You enjoy delivering sessions with energy and enthusiasm to generate excitement about the role.
You build strong relationships with younger and older adults and have the tenacity and resilience to support them to successfully complete the programme.

Delivery of Skills-based Training (80%) under the guidance of Generation’s Learning Manager
