Full Stack Engineer

IntelliSense.io has a great opportunity for a talented Full Stack Engineer to join our growing Team. Operating at a senior level, you will be working in our engineering team to maintain, extend and build out our microservices-based platform. This involves working on services required by both the frontend application and the data processing platform. You would also work with the frontend team to build out our frontend application for visualising sensor data, giving insights into the current operation of equipment, and giving control recommendations based on predicted performance.

IntelliSense.io is headquartered in Cambridge, UK, with global offices in Cork (Ireland), Santiago (Chile), Almaty (Kazakhstan) and Perth (Australia).

This senior role will focus on Frontend to give support to our existing team as well as contribute to the technical decisions for the future of our products.

Your key responsibilities

• Work with the product team to refine areas of the application based on the product roadmap and client feedback
• Build features in the application front end, web server, or services
• Improve test coverage on key areas of the system
• Collaborate within the engineering team to better integrate the data processing platform with the application front end
• Provide documentation of the front end, web server, or services, as well as help to define best practices

We are using the latest tools for development (GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes) and modern software development methodologies with kanban. Our application currently uses: Node.js, PlottableJS, D3.js, React.JS, Mobx, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Apache Flink, and Microservices in the Software Engineering space, along with Helm and ArgoCD in the DevOps space.

Requirements

Who you are

• You have previous experience on microservice-based systems
• You write clean, maintainable code and love working on interesting problems
• You have a passion for building products which will be used every day
• You’re interested in building resilient software
• You have experience writing Javascript, Node.JS, React.JS, Python, and/or Java
• You are comfortable working with and building containerised application images

Bonus points if

• You have experience working with Apache Flink
• You are comfortable spinning up K8s clusters
