Job Description
- Driving a compliant work environment, leading a high-performing team to deliver against defined business goals, objectives, and key performance indicators.
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems, policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Enhance customer relationships by improving quality performance across key indicators.
- Provide leadership for the site in regard to customer and/or product requirements
- Drive a strong culture of continuous improvement from both a quality and food safety perspective.
- Manage and develop direct reports to include coaching, motivating, and ensuring adequate training to meet and exceed individual and team goals.
- Develop and maintain a positive, proactive relationship with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Day to day management of the QA Team, shift reviews and recruitment.
- Ensure that the site is continuously in a state of audit readiness. Play an integral role in planning and managing all activities with respect to quality audits/visits.
- Participate, Investigate and improve on any non conformances raised through customer, third party, internal and GMP audits as well as mock recall and traceability scenarios.
- Implement Policy, Technical, and Standard Operating Procedures in line with regulatory, customer and site requirements. Play an active role in reviewing Kepak Standards and Policies with a view on continuous improvement based on the needs of the business.
- Support Product Innovation
- Ensure that all products produced are of the highest Safety and Quality standards according to agreed customer specifications and legal requirements.
- Works closely with the Hygiene Teams to ensure that cleaning is conducted effectively and maintained at the highest standard, driving continuous improvement.
- Under the guidance of the Technical Manager, responsible for working closely with Suppliers.
- A key member of the site TACCP, HACCP, Internal and GMP Audit teams.
- Support the Technical Manager as and when required.

Requirements
- Food Science/Food Technology qualification would be a distinct advantage but not essential if experience demonstrates your capabilities and skills in the Food Industry.
- Certifications in the following areas are an advantage; Internal Auditing, Train the Trainer, HACCP, TACCP.
- A strong technical and quality background and knowledge of Industry Food Standards, i.e., GFSI (BRC, IFS, ISO), Customer Codes of Practices.
- Previous experience provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 3+ years) or equivalent combination of education, training, amp; experience in the Food Manufacturing environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adjusting workloads based on changing priorities to meet the business needs.
- Self-starter and self-motivated; organised with good attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- A collaborative and inclusive approach to work and your colleagues.
