The VP of information technology is generally responsible for the design, development and implementation of organizational information systems, software applications, and IT support and infrastructure systems. The scope of the role is focused on Fenergo Corporate IT and providing the services required for the business to operate efficiently.

Duties:

  • Establishes the strategic direction of the company’s information systems (IS); executes this strategy in collaboration with company leadership. The strategic direction includes making sure Fenergo has the best in class collaboration tools available throughout the organization
  • Works with senior leadership to set and communicate department goals and strategic improvement projects
  • Monitors and reports progress on development projects, resource utilization, and production performance to executive leadership.
  • Manages a team of IT technologists ensuring the strategic and operational decisions are aligned to latest industry best practices and upskills the team as required
  • Prepares, implements, and executes IS/IT budgets.
  • Lead our Corporate IT security programme
  • Makes sure the Corporate IT landscape has the correct policies, and associated controls in place in line with best practice and industry certification such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2
  • Approves the purchase, rent, lease, license, or other acquisition of hardware, cloud services, software, or services needed to meet company needs.
  • Ensures the integrity and reliability of information systems, communication systems, and office systems including the security of data acquired and stored, availability/dr procedures and testing them regularly.
  • Maintains pace with technological progress, economic change, and company needs by directing continual improvements of IS/IT staff, equipment, and procedures and advising senior management on the direction for corporate IT.
  • Ensures corporate services are being delivered to the quality and SLA expected to grow the business
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Capable of working with hands on practitioners providing them the leadership they need to successfully deliver change and ongoing services
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of OT/IS policies and procedures.
