Cork Rooftop Farm is looking for a full-time Horticulture Operative to join our team and run the day-to-day operations on the rooftop farm.
Responsibilities include propagation, watering and harvesting of all crops and plants on the rooftop including microgreens, grow towers, raised beds, shrubs and beddings plants; pest control and management; rooftop maintenance and cleaning; preparing and delivering restaurant orders; maintenance of grow towers, selling at our farm shop; and post-harvest preparation.
Requirements
Candidates should have experience working in agriculture and/or horticulture; ability to precisely follow directions and work outdoors; self-motivated, good interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail and observational skills; good work ethic and a positive mindset towards problem solving. Knowledge of sustainable food production methods, soil health and regenerative agriculture systems would also be a benefit.
Benefits
Standard working week is Monday to Friday 7.30 to 4pm with occasional weekend work depending on peak demands.
