Job Description

Trócaire works in partnership with local and church organisations, supporting communities in over 20 developing countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East to bring about lasting change. The Human Resources Division in HQ is looking for an intern who has recently graduated to join their HR Operations Team. The intern will join a dynamic, busy and fast-moving organisation where they will continue to grow and have opportunities to progress their career. The intern will be a key individual contributor to the on-going development of the HR function and will have a multi-tasking role that will require them to develop knowledge and skills in all aspects on international human resource management.

Reporting to the HR Partner, this is a short-term appointment of 6 and is based in Maynooth Co. Kildare. Flexible working and remote working available for some of the days.

Key Duties amp; Responsibilities

HR and Recruitment Administration across multi-disciplines:

  • Monitoring of HR and Recruitment Mailboxes Employee Queries
  • Support on system/database management and MS Excel reporting;
  • Undertaking recruitment and HR administration;
  • New starters administration: information and documents and orientation;
  • Employee files maintenance, updating records, preparation of contracts amp; letters;
  • Participating in development HR policies and procedures;
  • Exposure to Learning amp; Development responsibilities;
  • Exposure to HR Partnership model.

(E) Qualification

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Administration or Human Resources Management

(E) Experience

  • 1-2 years previous experience in Human Resources or Administration roles.

(E) Skills

  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel and Word, with an ability to learn new systems;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Precise and with great attention to detail.
  • Natural curiosity to learn and challenge the status quo.
