Project Manager (Contracts)
Location: Ardee, County Louth, Ireland
The Company
- In a nutshell, we build buses and coaches. In fact, more than half of the buses you see on the roads in the UK are built by Alexander Dennis. We have a huge responsibility for keeping the world moving.
- We are saving the planet. Our purpose is to support Governments globally with their push to reduce pollution and improve air quality by building greener, more eco-friendly buses.
- We love our customers. So much so, almost every bus we build is bespoke what the customer wants, we will do our best to deliver.
- We have a fantastic Canadian parent company called NFI. They welcomed us into the family in 2019, and we haven’t looked back ever since.
- There is no doubt about it it was a tough 2020 for Alexander Dennis. But now we are building back, winning new orders right here in Ireland.
- Our global footprint is pretty impressive. We have a presence in some super cool places across the world from Hong Kong to Auckland to Toronto.

Your Dream Role
- We need a dynamic, customer-focused professional who will be responsible for managing contracts right from initial enquiry, all the way through to delivery and the first 28 days in the field.
- Your number one priority will be to act as the key point of contact between our customers, customer facing teams and the rest of our business.
- Opportunities like this don’t come along often you will have exposure to a wide range of senior stakeholders and complex projects in both Ireland and the UK.
- Our customers mean a lot to us. You will manage their expectations, good and bad, and will ensure we meet all of our Contract commitments.
- Every day will bring different challenges truly no two days will be the same.
- Learn from the best. This position will develop your customer service and project management skills within a complex and exciting business.
About You
- Ideally you will have experience in a similar customer focused position.
- If you have this experience from the bus or automotive industry even better!
- Experience in the end-to-end contract process and dealing with a range of stakeholders.
- Relationship building will come easily to you across all level of seniority and areas of the business.
- Things can be hectic here. You will remain calm under pressure with the ability to multi-task and meet project deadlines.
- We don’t need you to be a tech whizz, but we do need you to be comfortable with all Microsoft packages, with the ability to pick up bespoke packages as required.
- Generally, someone who fits into our culture approachable, with a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
Requirements
- Extensive experience dealing with an end-to-end contract process.
