Job Description

We are on the hunt for an experienced Area Kitchen and Development Manager to work with the Managing Directors in overseeing the management of the kitchens ensuring the planning coordination and control of the company’s manufacturing process. Overseeing the quality systems and procedures ensuring that they meet current and future legalisation.

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in all matters relevant to their role. They will be a competent leader able to provide guidance that enhances performance in a manner which incorporates the company’s vision and culture.

The goal will be to ensure the profitability of our company’s activities to drive sustainable development and long-term success.

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure full production orders are achieved daily.
  • Acting as a role model for other staff members by demonstrating excellence and leadership in all areas in the business. And create a positive working environment.
  • Working with the owners in driving changes and improvements to making the business more efficient and profitable.
  • To ensure that all HACCP and Quality procedures are always implemented and adhered to e.g., safe food handling, hygiene, temperature control, product rotation, cleaning schedules, etc.
  • Ensure timely and accurate records are maintained and that all operational checks are carried out and documented.
  • Recruit and train kitchen employees in designated stations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and perform weekly inventory assessments.
  • Successfully execute success routines to manage time and impact.
  • Supervise the work of employees an provide feedback and counsel to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • To look at current costings and future food costings.
  • To analyse waste and reduce or minimize to maximize profits.
  • To streamline internal operations to make 3 stores work off exact same system to make franchising model easier and accessible.
  • Report weekly to the Owners and Area Manager on all aspects of production and quality control, etc.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience as Area Kitchen and Development Manager or relevant role
  • An ability to quickly understand and work with colleagues to develop solutions to the key operational challenges.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enthusiasm to take on a diverse array of projects, ranging in complexity and team size, and to collaborate with a broad spectrum of internal and external colleagues.
  • An innovative attitude to problem solving and a willingness to go outside their comfort zone.
  • Excellent knowledge of databases, and information systems.
  • An entrepreneurial attitude.
  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • The ability to plan ahead and work well with time management.
