Job Title: Digital Graphic Artist
Reporting To: Head of Digital
Location: Remote (Ireland) with a requirement to attend the office (Dublin 2) for meetings/training as required
Contract duration: 18 month fixed-term contract
Hours of Work: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 39 hours a week
Start date: Immediately

Community Creations is the not-for-profit company behind spunout, Ireland’s award-winning youth information website, and 50808, a new, free 24/7 text service, providing everything from a calming chat to immediate support.
spunout is Ireland’s youth information website, by young people for young people. spunout’s vision is to help create an Ireland where young people aged between 16 and 25 are empowered with the information they need to live active, happy, and healthy lives. spunout was visited over 2.3 million times in 2020, providing young people with information that is factual, easy to read, and non-judgemental.
50808 is a first of its kind for Ireland: a free 24/7 text service, providing everything from a calming chat to immediate support for people going through a mental health or emotional crisis - big or small. From breakups or bullying, to anxiety, depression and suicidal feelings, our Crisis Volunteers are available 24/7 for anonymous text conversations. Our aim is to provide immediate support in the short term and connect people to resources that will help them into the future.
About the role
Community Creations is seeking to appoint a full-time Digital Graphic Artist to work across both of its services; spunout and 50808.
As Digital Graphic Artist you will be responsible for creating graphics and simple animations for our social media channels and websites. Check out the 50808 and spunout Instagram accounts for more examples. Your work will help us reach and support hundreds of thousands of young people in Ireland. An ideal candidate will be able to balance the ability to produce creative, vibrant graphics and animations, while also working to a timeline.

Key Duties amp; Responsibilities:
- Designing content for social media, e.g. Instagram feed carousels, infographics, article covers
- Graphic design for documents, publications, and website content
- Creation of basic animations for social media, e.g. Instagram and Snapchat stories/reels
- Any other duties or responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Head of Digital
Requirements
Skills and Attributes:
- Knowledge and capability to design great social media content, including simple animations
- Good knowledge of Adobe Suite (Illustrator + Photoshop + After Effects)
- Experience of designing content for social media
- A strong creative process
- Ability to communicate proactively with stakeholders
- Ability to balance the need for quality with project deadlines
Qualifications and Experience:
- A relevant art or design qualification OR 1 year of design experience in-house with a company OR 2 years of design experience freelancing
- Track record of delivering work within scope and in a timely fashion
- A brief portfolio of your design work and a short showreel of animation work you may have done
