SilverBack are currently working on a number of major commercial and industrial electrical projects in Ireland.

We are currently recruiting experienced, fully qualified electricians to start work on these projects.

Candidates must be fully qualified, and should have at least 3 years experience working as a qualified electrician.

Experience working as an electrician on commercial or industrial projects is essential.

Requirements

The candidate will be required to perform the following duties as part of their role. This is a non-exhaustive list of duties:

• Liaising with client supervisor on daily and weekly areas for electrical installation work to be performed.

• Under client’s instructions, assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using hand and power tools.

• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of the breakdown and correct the problem.

• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers or other components.

• Liaising with client management and all relevant site colleagues, plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, specifications and local codes.

• Work safely with ladders, scaffolds and MEWPs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures.

• Place conduit, trays, baskets and all containment in accordance with drawings supplied and pull insulated wires or cables through them to complete circuits.

• Meet obligations as assigned by the Health and Safety Work Act and safety procedures as dictated by the client and work site.

• Maintain your electrical certificates and related paperwork in good order.

• Other ad-hoc duties as required by client or management.

To successfully perform this position, the following qualifications are sought.

Qualifications include:

• Prior experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical work; experience working abroad preferred.
