Job Description

Our client is currently recruiting for a PPP Facilities Contract Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. The successful applicant will be responsible for the commercial and contractual elements of a fully integrated PPP multi-service facilities management contract. It should be noted that flexibility is a requirement of this role as frequent travel will be necessary given the geographical locations of client sites.

This is an established and high performing contract and the purpose of this role is to ensure that these standards are maintained whilst driving continuous improvement within the Company’s PPP function. Whilst managing the operational output of the contract, there will also be a requirement to participate in and contribute to PPP Pre-qual and tender exercises across the business as a whole

Duties:

  • Lead a team of FM Site Managers who are responsible for the front line management of the day to day delivery of FM services to a PPP contract, comprising of 6 educational sites based in the East and South of the country
  • Manage all aspects of facilities management within the agreed service level agreements (SLA’s) to include the management of both in-house and outsourced resources to ensure the successful delivery of both hard and soft services, in addition to a lifecycle program
  • Monitor and assist with the effective management and delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programs while responding to the reactive needs of the clients
  • Manage the financial performance of the contract, ensuring that ‘unavailability deductions’ and ‘unavailability penalties’ are kept to a minimum
  • Manage and develop your team of Site Managers, Administrators and Operations staff while prioritising busy workloads and meeting strict project deadlines
  • Ensure contractual commitments are met in accordance with the service requirements and any other obligations detailed within the contract’s documentation
  • Manage the contracts performance and provide calculations of any deductions (where applicable) in line with the contract payment mechanism
  • Control and monitor the performance of the specialist service providers and any subcontractors assigned to projects on site
  • Manage and develop existing client relationships
  • Monitor and guide the Helpdesk and administration support team to deliver monthly contract reports ensuring that they are delivered to the client within the contractual time limits, while ensuring that quality checks have been conducted prior to issue
  • Compile and present reports on the contracts performance as required
  • Identify and mitigate risk in all areas of the contract and highlight any potential risks that may affect its operational performance
  • Identify, compile and manage the contract/s specific risk register
  • Examine the CAFM system to ensure that the data conforms with the contractual performance
  • Provide assistance, support and guidance on all commercial issues within the project(s)
  • Ensure full compliance with the client’s commercial procedures and corporate governance requirements
  • Play an active and substantial role in Pre-Qual and Tender submissions

Requirements

  • Degree in a Business or Building Services discipline
  • Proven experience and understanding of PPP/PFI service contracts and contract payment mechanisms
  • Extensive knowledge of a wide range of contractual conditions with proven experience of developing and implementing procedures.
  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to communicate with personnel at all levels
  • Excellent IT skills and knowledge of relevant software, CAFM experience is highly desirable
  • Full Clean Driving Licence
  • Exposure to Facilities Management and or Engineering environments ideal
