The Role
As Site Manager you’ll be responsible for managing and coordinating one of our construction sites, ensuring completion of quality work safely, to time and on budget.
Your main duties
- Deliver the project on time and within budget as agreed by effectively and appropriately overseeing all issues surrounding risks, contracts, operations and communications
- Implement quality assurance procedures in accordance with our methodology
- Ensure that everyone on site is working in accordance with the Health amp; Safety policy and procedures
- Ensure that all required materials are identified and ordered in a timely fashion in line with the program
- Take the lead in ensuring the effective management of performance and budgets, ensuring they are well-coordinated and runs in accordance with the agreed contract program
- Manage a direct labour workforce as well as all sub-contractors
- Report weekly and monthly data and information to site teams, key stakeholders and partners
- Adhere to health and safety and environmental standards
Requirements
- Strong previous experience in a similar role with a developer or main contractor
- A background and/ or Third Level qualification in a Trade/ Engineering/ Construction Management discipline
- Good knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standards
- Excellent knowledge of a variety of house-building methodologies
- Leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop large multi-disciplinary teams
- Reasonable IT skills with the ability to comfortably work with the MS Office suite and to learn other software tools we use
