Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for someone to drive business development via employer engagement and candidate management in Dublin. A blended remote and in office working model will be offered and candidates outside of Dublin will also be considered.

You will lead the growth of the business by sourcing employer partners for our bootcamp programmes and account managing these relationships. Reporting to the Ireland’s Programme amp; Partnerships Director, this is a role that would suit someone who is passionate about supporting young people from diverse backgrounds into employment and able to inspire the same passion in employers. It will also involve extensive research, outreach and relationship management, so it’s a great opportunity to build a wealth of knowledge on local businesses within Dublin and Ireland.

You will be equipped with a portfolio of business development tech tools to facilitate your outreach. Your key focus will be to engage with employers to understand their pain points and determine their business needs, ahead of offering them a solution. Developing long-lasting relationships is the ultimate aim.

You will also have the opportunity of inspiring young people to achieve life-changing careers - supporting them to connect with employers, prepare for interviews and onboard into new roles.

Salary: 35,000-40,000

ABOUT GENERATION

Generation's mission is to train, coach and support people into life-changing careers that would otherwise be inaccessible.

We are a Irish registered non-profit, founded by McKinsey and company, delivering tailored programmes to recruit, train and place unemployed people into work. Through our unique approach we also solve a wide range of employer challengesskilled talent shortages, poor job performance, lack of diversity, and high turnover.

Generation launched globally in 2015, and has grown quickly to become the world’s largest demand-led employment initiative. We have placed over 40,000 people into roles (many of whom have suffered some form of adversity), working with over 4,000 employer partners to date across 14 countries and 29 professions.

Generation UK amp; Ireland is currently running training to employment programs in London, Manchester, the West Midlands, Dublin and Leeds. We run a range of tech programmes with partners including Amazon Web Services, Multiverse and Infinity Works, as well as programmes supporting people into healthcare and customer service roles. We are funded in part by the European Social Fund.

In 2020, the coronavirus pandemic has transformed the employment landscape beyond recognition, with young people (the majority of the people we help) being the hardest hit. At the same time, the Black Lives Matter movement has rightfully brought issues of social injustice and racism to the top of every agenda.

By joining Generation UK amp; Ireland now, you will become part of an organisation which is determined to play its part in addressing both of these challenges for people in the UK and Ireland over the coming months and years.
