Background and Context
The Donegal Sexual Abuse amp; Rape Crisis Centre was established in Letterkenny in 1997
The Donegal Sexual Abuse amp; Rape Crisis Centre is a registered charity. We provide free counselling, support and advocacy for survivors of sexual violence of all genders and gender identities aged 14+ and their loved ones.
We support survivors from across County Donegal and neighbouring counties. We also provide SATU (Sexual Assault Treatment Unit) psychological support, Garda and court accompaniment as well as education and training. The main office is in Letterkenny with outreach services provided in Lifford, Donegal town, Buncrana and Moville with additional outreaches available in Dungloe, Ardara and Killybegs as required.
The centre is staffed by a f/t Manager, administrator/receptionist (28hrs per week), 1 SATU Co-ordinator (10 hrs per week), 5-part time counsellors and 2 sessional counsellors one part-time Support Worker. We also have a team of volunteers who provide SATU and court accompaniment.
The centre receives its core funding from TUSLA under Domestic, Sexual and Gender Based Violence funding which is supplemented by fundraising and donations. We are a member service of the RCNI- Rape Crisis Network of Ireland.
Clients may self-refer or are referred from a variety of agencies including: GP’s, Addiction services, Gardaí, SATU, family, other counselling services, adult mental health services, CAMHS, SCAN or community mental health services.

Donegal Sexual Abuse and Rape Crisis Centre offers counselling support and advice to survivors of rape and sexual abuse through and accessible and confidential support service in a safe environment and through preventative programmes and actions, working in partnership to raise awareness across the wider community through educational programmes which seek to eliminate the incidence of rape and sexual abuse in society.

The Brief.
The Board of the Donegal Sexual Abuse amp; Rape Crisis Centre are now seeking tender submissions from competent, suitably qualified consultants to undertake a comprehensive review of the service.
The review will encompass service provision, management structure, staff roles and responsibilities, funding, sustainability, meeting such commitments with internal communication and stakeholder relationships.
The Board are seeking a quotation to involve a potential second stage of consultancy to be priced separately for the facilitation of a new Strategic Plan for 3-5 years and support for the transition by the organisation and the board for the introduction of any necessary recommendations from both the review and the Strategic Plan.
The tender submission should include the following:
Evidence of competence and qualifications and;
An outline of the proposed methodology to carry out the review.
Costs: A breakdown of the costs to carry out the review and create Strategic Plan indicative timescales.
