The Hardware Administrator amp; Platform Specialist is responsible for managing and updating testing equipment for the Localization QA department here at Keywords Studios.
As a Hardware Administrator amp; Platform Specialist you will organise and set up work areas in the office with testing equipment and support test teams and team leads with troubleshooting testing and platform-specific issues.
Please note this role will be both office-based and remote depending on demand. Our offices are located in Leopardstown, Dublin 18.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining existing Asset Management System
- Adding new hardware to the asset management system (unpacking, labelling, etc.)
- Keeping the system up to date amp; current
- Performing periodic inventory consistency checks
- Ordering and replacing hardware (RMA procedures)
- Updating hardware (Xbox, PlayStation, Test-PC, mobile platforms) with latest firmware versions and images
- Testing area set up and dismantling (Kick-Off Requests)
- Assigning hardware to testers and follow up on returns after end of project, based on check-out and check-in of assets
- Forecasting amp; estimation of hardware needs for upcoming projects.
- Assisting Testing department in all platform-related matters, which includes: Troubleshooting, Training, Ad-hoc consultancy amp; project involvement
- Maintaining amp; creating existing documentation on platforms
- Evaluating amp; implementing new technology solutions for the above services
- Reporting to Management
