Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW:

In Jigsaw, we have six core values that underpin everything that we do. The first of these is that we value young people. In practice, this means that we listen to the voice of young people and respect their expertise in being young. We trust and believe in them and their ability to deal with issues relating to their mental health and to contribute to decision making, including them in key decisions, leveraging their skills and knowledge for the betterment of our organization. We believe young people are one of our key enablers. One of the ways in which we honour this value is through involving young people in the recruitment of our staff. We feel confident that through their contribution, every effort is being made to ensure that all Jigsaw employees encompass our values, most notably valuing young people.

We are seeking young people from across our Youth Advisory Panels/Youth Advocates to be part of a National Youth Interview Panel to support, and have a valuable input into our organisational interview processes. We are seeking to recruit young people nationally who will commit to a 2 year term and a minimum of 2 interviews per year, attending interviews in their respective regions Leinster, South West and North West.

On successful selection of the National Youth Interview Panel, Jigsaw will provide training on a regional level (which will be mandatory for successful panel members) and a programme of continued support through feedback and ongoing training where necessary. Travel and subsistence will be provided to facilitate Youth Interviewers to participate in Jigsaw’s interview processes as per the terms of their agreement.

PLEASE NOTE: As part of the shortlisting process, a meeting may be scheduled with the YAP/YA member to discuss their application in more detail, to determine successful appointment.
