The first step toward this vision of the future is to drive the broadest possible adoption of a truly cloud native approach to application connectivity, networking, and network security, which we believe dictates an open source-first strategy with packaged enterprise solutions built on open sourcehence our initial focus on open source Project Calico, Istio, and related open technologies like Kubernetes.

We are currently looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our new EMEA sales team and help drive the expansion of a hyper-growth technology business into new global geographies.

Your mission is to reach platform and DevOps engineers who are building the next generation of applications and managing cutting-edge infrastructure. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong track record in sales and excellence in execution.


What You Will Do:
  • Qualify leads through initial email, phone, or LinkedIn contact
  • Manage, nurture, and grow a pipeline of interested prospects
  • Articulate Tigera’s value proposition for security and observability
  • Identify prospective leads through creative research methods
  • Partner with sales executives to strategize your approach
  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and develop accounts to drive opportunity
  • Respond to inbound interest and qualify fit for Tigera’s solution through discovery calls
  • Work with product and marketing teams to convey feedback on prospect requirements and demand generation strategies
  • Manage, track, and report on all activities and results using Salesforce
  • Provide additional sales team support on an ad hoc/as needed basis

Requirements:
  • 1 year of SDR experience, ideally within European markets
  • Speak clearly and confidently over the phone
  • Efficient at researching companies and leads to create targeted messaging for emails and cold calls
  • Comfortable engaging with very technical people
  • An insatiable level of curiosity and a constant learner
  • A great attitude and love for teamwork
  • A self-starter who thrives on surfacing ideas to solve challenges, and the persistence to see them through
  • Some technical knowledge, basic knowledge of microservices, containers and DevOps is a plus
  • Startup experience is a plus
