THE ROLE:

  • Liaising extensively with external customers internal team members.
  • Analysing existing systems and processes.
  • Working with various internal stakeholders to build solutions to existing challenges and blockages and create process efficiency and reduce risk arising from manual processes.
  • Mapping and documenting interfaces between legacy and new systems.
  • Translating business requirements into highly specified project briefs.
  • Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability.
  • Conducting requirements analysis and preparing specific proposals for modified or replacement systems and processes.
  • Developing solutions and related products.
  • Producing project feasibility and costings reports.
  • Presenting proposals to customers and colleagues.
  • Working closely with colleagues, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
  • Ensuring that budgets are adhered to and deadlines are met.
  • Drawing up, supervising and documenting testing schedules for complete systems.
  • Planning and working flexibly to deadlines.
  • Supporting users on change control and system updates.
  • Providing training and user manuals to users of a new system/process
  • Keeping up to date with technical and industry developments.
  • Payroll experience desirable but not essential.

Requirements

Post-Graduate with at least 3-year experience. Minimum of 2.1 degree. The following subjects are useful

  • Business Administration
  • Management
  • Information Technology


There are also several industry-recognised certificates aspiring Business Analysts can acquire too. Having one of these would be advantageous to the applicants.


  • The core skills of a Business Analyst should be:
  • Experience working with senior decision makers
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills
  • Proven analytical background
  • Advanced Excel skills
