Job Description

People are at the core of CPM’s business proposition so as a key member of the CPM Operations team this role is expected to make a significant contribution to the culture within CPM, via demonstrable initiatives to drive best practice and continuous improvement. As Ireland’s gas network operator, Gas Networks Ireland is responsible for complying with national and European Union (EU) gas-related legislation, including supporting national and EU climate policy. We are working towards the decarbonisation of the gas network by replacing natural gas with renewable gases, such as biomethane today and green hydrogen in the future, complementing intermittent renewable electricity, and ensuring a secure and diverse energy supply for Ireland.

Transitioning to a clean energy economy by 2050 requires a balance between sustainability, security, and affordability. Leveraging existing energy assets and capabilities, including the gas network, will support Ireland to reach its targets.

The focus of this role is to provide best in class operational support and insights to the Renewable Gas field sales team as they communicate our decarbonisation strategy to potential renewable gas suppliers and customers. This position is the first point of contact for many potential renewable gas customers and is therefore a key part of the RG team.

Requirements

The Primary Responsibilities for This Role Are:

Operational:

  • Preparation and distribution of reports as per agreed Service Level Agreements
  • Production of meaningful and concise Insights / Intelligence reports from a variety of data sources
  • Assistance with creation and delivery of client presentations in support of the Renewable Gas Sales Manager
  • Issue resolution and assistance with field and client queries daily
  • Proactively review current process with a view to improve and streamline where possible.
  • Build relationships within the client team and across the industry, using excellent communication skills to positively influence stakeholders.
  • Manage Renewable Gas customers through the early stages of their enquiries and outlining the customer journey before handing over to the sales consultant.
  • Follow up on general enquiries from customers who require relevant information on renewable gas. Management of customer mailboxes.
  • Interdepartmental communications for RG Team across other internal functions including, Legal Department, Marketing Department, Operations Teams
  • Responsible for securing internal sign-off across other department heads when securing RG contracts approval.

Administrative:

  • Organization and coordination of any client or field team meetings/conferences required throughout the year, Including diary management for sales team
  • Recording of all identified leads in CRM and manage through to completion ensuring all information is being stored in the correct location.
  • Sales consultant support: Assist sales reps with customer comms when required. Act as a Point of contact for customers if rep is unavailable.
  • Customer correspondence. Liaising with customers when required i.e. Contract information, outstanding essential info
  • Organizing external events, including booking speaking slots. Preparation of booklets and merchandise for these events
  • Represent GNI at internal and external events.
  • Updating Internal Comm’s on any recent big activity/events attended
  • To obtain market research on RG customers and develop into insight reports.
  • Data mining from various public sources such as Planning Files and collectively input all found data into report format.
  • Prepare RG Sales Team monthly report.

Required Experience amp; Competencies:

  • Relevant experience in an operations and / or similar administrative role
  • Advanced ability in Microsoft Office software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
