The Accounts Payable Administrator will work as part of a busy finance team and reporting directly to the Financial Manager you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Monitor Accounts Payable Inbox
  • Ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, ensuring all accounts payable transactions are accurately recorded
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and address vendor inquiries in a timely manner
  • Prepare and perform periodic payment runs
  • Monitor and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies and maintaining positive vendor relationships
  • Process invoices accurately and efficiently, matching them with purchase orders and receipts and verifying approvals
  • Assist in the implementation and utilization of accounts payable software and systems
  • Streamline accounts payable workflows by implementing automation and efficiency improvements
  • Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance
  • Overseeing and maintaining aspects of the main reporting system
  • Assist the Finance Manager in performing other related tasks as required
  • Maintain a professional image for the company in all dealings with the public and stakeholders
  • Other ad hoc duties that the Company may require from time to time

Requirements

  • Experience in accounts payable or a similar role
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and organisational skills
  • Must have excellent attention to detail, be self-driven and can work independently and to their own initiative
  • Proven aptitude to work collaboratively with multiple team members and across disciplines
  • Must have advanced communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including a proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint and an interest in enhancing Excel/PowerPoint capabilities through further training
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • An aptitude for displaying data visually in an effective manner
  • Experience of Microsoft Navision and Solver and/or an interest in emerging technologies an advantage
  • Experience working in the property or construction sector desirable but not essential
