We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead our technical support team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent thought leadership with a keen eye on the pulse of future technologies, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Working closely with our Systems, Network and Security teams, they will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the helpdesk, establishing and maturing processes, staying up to date with the latest technologies, and leading the charge for 'hearts and minds'.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the IT helpdesk team, ensuring that service level agreements and customer satisfaction goals are met.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the IT Helpdesk to improve efficiency and effectiveness (level 0 support, escalation process, knowledge base).
  • Mentoring the IT helpdesk staff, fostering a positive culture of collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring and analysing the performance and metrics of the IT helpdesk, identifying and resolving any issues or gaps.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with IT teams and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of quality IT services and support.
  • Provide thought leadership, keeping up to date with the latest IT trends, technologies, and best practices, and providing recommendations for improvements and innovation.
  • Experience with Azure AD (Entra), MS Active Directory, Office 365 Suite and Intune.
  • Producing reporting to the Director of IT on budget, resources and equipment, ensuring optimal utilisation and allocation.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a management role.
  • Excellent leadership skills.

  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
