We are looking for a Machine learning Researcher to work as part of a team to build and implement cloud-based enterprise machine translations solutions. You will work with other developers and product managers throughout the software development life cycle working on cloud-based technologies that are built on Amazon Web Services.
In this role you should be a team player with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills. If you also have experience in object-oriented design, AWS, Cloud based services and popular coding languages (e.g. PHP, Python, Perl, JQUERY, JavaScript), we would like to meet you.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research to advance the field of machine translation.
- Develop and refine machine translation models and algorithms.
- Gather and curate large datasets for training and evaluating MT models.
- Clean, preprocess, and annotate text data to make it suitable for training.
- Design and implement neural network architectures for machine translation.
- Train machine translation models using various techniques, such as sequence-to-sequence models and transformer models.
- Innovate and experiment with novel techniques to improve translation quality and efficiency.
- Work on reducing common translation errors and challenges, like idiomatic expressions and rare languages.
- Develop and apply evaluation metrics to assess the quality of machine-translated text.
- Compare and benchmark different models using established evaluation protocols.
- Adapt machine translation models to specific domains (e.g., Games, Player Support) to enhance translation accuracy within those contexts.
- Fine-tune pre-trained models on specific tasks or languages to achieve better performance in targeted scenarios.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field of machine translation by reading research papers and attending conferences.
- Write research papers detailing new findings, techniques, and improvements.
- Present research findings at conferences, workshops, and seminars.
Requirements
- Phd Machine Learning, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Familiarity with Machine Translation systems and Large Language Models.
- Proven experience as a software developer/engineer 3 5 years’ experience.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Working knowledge of at least two of the following coding languages and frameworks PHP, C#, C++, Python, PERL, JavaScript, JQUERY, NODE.JS, and MS Visual Basic, AWS (EC2, S3, RDS etc.), JIRA, Confluence.
- Excellent communication skills with attention to detail.
- Video Gaming experience is a bonus.
