The BI Business Analystis responsible for setting up and maintaining new phases/projects on Microsoft Dynamics and seamlessly integrating them with our Power BI Dashboards, along with developing business insights by creating dashboards in Power BI.

Key responsibilities and Duties

Requirements Gathering:

  • Set up new phases/projects on Microsoft Dynamics and seamlessly integrating them with Power BI Dashboards.
  • Ensure the continuous maintenance and updating of data stored in Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Collaborate with business units to understand their data and reporting needs.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define and document business requirements for Power BI solutions.

Data Analysis and Visualization:

  • Utilize Power BI to gather, analyse, and interpret complex data sets, transforming raw data into actionable insights.
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports that provide key stakeholders with a clear understanding of business performance.

Data Modelling:

  • Develop and maintain data models to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting.
  • Optimize data models for performance and scalability.

Integration and Automation:

  • Integrate Power BI with other systems and data sources to create a seamless data flow.
  • Identify opportunities for automation to streamline reporting processes.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to ensure the ongoing reliability and performance of Power BI solutions.
  • Proactively identify and address issues to minimize downtime.

Training and Support:

  • Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI functionality and best practices.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, assisting colleagues in leveraging Power BI for their reporting needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiencyin Data Management and analysis tools such as SQL, Power BI, Excel, and others.
  • Experience with Microsoft suite tools; like Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft SharePoint/Teams
  • Advanced SQL writing would be an advantage.
  • Significant experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on Power BI integration.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including the ability to create complex data models and visualizations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics, with a focus on project setup and smooth integration with Power BI.
  • Strong data management skills with an emphasis on accuracy and consistency.
  • Solid understanding of data analysis techniques and best practices.
  • Technical proficiency and familiarity with data structures and relationships in both Microsoft Dynamics and Power BI.
  • Experience with data integration and ETL processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and other departments.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to process optimization.
  • Proventrack record of successfully managing complex cross-functional projects.
  • Previous experience in project management within a construction context would be advantageous.
