Job Description
This full time position is based on site at our Athleague plant in Co. Roscommon. Duties will include:
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Quality Controller will work in a team ensuring that the factory maintains its high levels of quality control and food safety through a process of data collection and monitoring. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory amp; statutory requirements.

Requirements
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Maintain the HACCP programme for the Business
- Have a knowledge of Bord Bia amp; HACCP with some prior experience of audits and visits - desirable
- Have excellent communication skill and be able to communicate standards to other team members.
- Be Self-motivated, able to investigate, question and follow through on issues.
- Be able to manage own workload and work on own initiative
- Have good administration skills, with experience of using MS Office programmes
- Previous experience in the meat industry an advantage but not necessary
- Attention to detail is the main focus with a drive to ensure standards are upheld
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing practices (GMP) standards is an advantage
- Must be flexible and eager to learn
- Experience of animal welfare is preferential
- 2 + years experience preferred but not essential
- Having a QC qualification is a key competency for this role but not essential to be Degree Qualified, preferential with a Food Science/ Food Technology background also
