Job Description

In this role, you will have responsibility for ordering and scheduling the delivery of materials and supplies for Longford amp; Kilbeggan production.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Longford amp; Kilbeggan Production Manager to understand the production forecast.
  • Plan delivery of all materials required to service Longford amp; Kilbeggan production Schedules.
  • Place and track purchase orders - working closely with suppliers to deliver materials as planned and follow agreed criteria i.e., MOQ, remaining shelf life, price break opportunities. Escalate any serious issues with the relevant Group Category Manager.
  • Develop and manage site Inventory targets for key raw materials - in line with /MOQ’s/lead times/risk/value etc
  • Issue weekly inventory level tracker for key raw materials and packaging components for the site management team.
  • Keep the site aware of potential trends shortages, back orders and status of service as required.
  • Capture performance management of suppliers for group supplier management process.
  • Collaborate across Kepak Foods division to optimize supply and MOQ ordering opportunities as a wider group.
  • Support the execution of VE and CI projects across site and also across the wider group team
  • Compliance to the Kepak group Purchasing policies.
  • Compliance to all local site Environmental, Health and Safety regulations.
  • Compliance to all local Kepak site company policies amp; procedures, and wider company policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3rd Level qualification in Supply Chain or similar desirable
  • 3+ years in a similar role ideally within a Food production environment
  • MRP experience a distinct advantage.
  • Detail orientated and self-motivated.
  • Ability to prioritize and respond timely to changing requirements, and to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately.
  • Good organizational, facilitation and excellent communication skills both written and oral required.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and to work well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of computer software MS office; Word, Excel.
