Job Description

As part of Ryanair’s continued expansion of its engineering team to support a fleet of over 580 aircraft, we are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Programs Manager. As an integral part of Technical Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the Maintenance Programs Team and development of the Maintenance Programs for B737NG/8200/A320 fleet, to ensure it remains compliant with OEM documentation and regulatory requirements, and to optimise the maintenance program to maintain the high safety levels and excellent dispatch reliability of the Ryanair fleet.

The Role

Reporting to Head of Technical Services Continuing Airworthiness, the position will be based in our Dublin office and will be responsible for:

  • Effective management of the Maintenance Programs Team;
  • Review of the Boeing Maintenance Planning Document (MPD) and Maintenance Review Board Report (MRBR) to ensure accurate implementation into the Ryanair’s Group Maintenance Program for B737NG/8200/A320 fleet, as applicable;
  • Ensure maintenance program is optimised to avoid/ mitigate operational impact of in-service defects;
  • Review of Heavy Maintenance findings and the identification of solutions for repeat occurrences;
  • Submission and obtaining of Aviation Authority approval of the Ryanair’s Group Maintenance Programs when required;
  • Development of detailed reports to support the optimisation of the Ryanair’s Maintenance Programs;
  • Providing input to the B737NG/8200/A320 Industry Steering Committee (ISC) regarding on-going optimisation of the MRB/MPD;
  • Attend 737NG/8200/A320 Working Groups and ISC meetings;
  • Manage IT projects to further streamline Maintenance Program processes;

Requirements

Requirements

  • At least 5 years experience working in an airline CAMO environment in a similar role;
  • Detailed knowledge of 737/A320 MRBR and MPD.
  • Knowledge of MSG-3 amp; Maintenance Program optimisation methodologies (e.g., SASMO, OPTIMA) an advantage;
  • Sound knowledge of EASA amp;UK CAA maintenance program regulatory requirements;
  • Ability to effectively manage and mentor a team of maintenance program engineers to deliver Ryanair’s group AOC’s maintenance programs to the highest standards;
  • Excellent working knowledge of AMOS and Office365 suite;
  • Multi-operator maintenance program experience and advantage;
  • Detailed technical knowledge of Boeing 737 systems; Airbus 320 experience would be an advantage;
  • Flexible approach with project delivery being a high priority;
  • Excellent communication skills, both in-person and by electronic means;
  • Strong attention to detail in multi-tasking situations and the ability to deliver results to tight timelines.
