Reporting to the Head of EHS, you will support the implementation of standard operating procedures and training to ensure that all risks are appropriately managed across the business as well as the day to day management of the safety management system.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • To provide specialist advice to management and workforce by interpreting health and safety legislation, policies and industry guidance.
  • To develop and /or improve safety systems, programmes and standards and to deliver high quality Health and Safety training and technical support.
  • To ensure company compliance and continuous improvement in Hamp;S standards by auditing and reviewing the Health and Safety management systems and programmes.
  • Provision of Health amp; Safety technical advice to management and workforce.
  • Interpretation and application of legislation, industry good practice guidance and corporate policies.
  • Oversee development and continuous improvement of risk assessment and other programmes to meet regulatory and corporate requirements.
  • Drive compliance and continuous improvement in Hamp;S performance through auditing and training.
  • Review process and equipment changes to identify potential, Hamp;S impacts.
  • Key responsibility for delivery of internal audit programmes and periodically evaluating compliance with Hamp;S legal requirements.
  • Report weekly and monthly data and information to site teams, key stakeholders, and partners
  • Maintain a professional image for the company in all dealings with public and stakeholders
  • Other ad hoc duties that the Company may require from time to time
  • Provide general support and assistance to the Senior Health amp; Safety Officer
  • Carry out safety inspections across the company
  • Carry out risk assessments amp; complete method statements as required

Requirements

  • Level 6 or higher qualification in Health and Safety
  • Experience in a similar role, in Ireland
  • Strong and proven ability to influence change and be a champion of best practice
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint), and a general competence in using new technologies (Mobile Apps etc)
  • Full clean driving licence
