Join a team of occupational health advisors across Ireland and the UK who work in conjunction with one another, and part of the wider HR team. This exciting role has become available due to internal promotion and a full handover will be provided by current role owner.
3 day week - 2 days on site, 1 day remote working
1 day on site in Kepak Longford/Kilbeggan, 1 day on site in Kepak Athleague, and 1 day remote working
Completion of Pre Employment Medicals in line with best practice and Company Policy.
Ensure employee medical records are maintained confidentially and stored in accordance with the requirements of GDPR.
Assisting Health and Safety with Workplace assessments and providing recommendations on best practices.
Assess the results of the medical evaluations based on sound medical practice and an understanding of the work the employee performs.
Liaise with the Occupational Physician and external GPs to ensure correct case management.
Provide assessment and treatment of any workplace injuries and illnesses.
Assist with internal accident investigations.
Complete proactive medical screening to assist with employee wellbeing initiatives.
Monitor employee absenteeism and complete absence reviews as required.
Coordinate return to work and rehabilitation of absent employees.
Complete intoxicant screening as required.
Requirements
Post-graduate qualification in Occupational Health or RGN on the active general register of the NMBI with Occupational Health experience
Ideally a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in occupational health, including health screening is essential
Have good organisational and administrative skills and an ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
Committed to delivering a high-quality service
Possess excellent I.T skills
Possess a full driver's license
Ability to work on own initiative
Strong team player
Excellent communication skills
