Job Title: Quality, Health, Safety, amp; Environmental (QHSE) Assistant

Primary function: To provide administrative support to the QHSE Manager and QHSE Team to ensure Calor QHSE requirements are implemented and meet regulatory compliance. Provision of administration support to drive QHSE improvements as determined under our current Business strategy.
Main responsibilities:
- Gathering, Inputting, analysing, and presenting QHSE related data for trend analysis, statutory compliance and for inclusion in Calor monthly and quarterly reports issued to Calor Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and SHVE Global Hamp;S Team
- Maintenance of QHSE Dashboards in relation to Incident Recording and management and monitoring of corrective and preventative actions raised due to non-conformances arising from internal audits and inspections.
- Maintenance of the QHSE Safety Management databases and Document Control System (DCS) to ensure information and data is current, uploaded and maintained.
- Carry out workplace audits and inspections to ensure compliance with ISO Standards (9001, 14001, 45001 and ISO 17020 and Business in the Community Certification).
- Supporting training scheduling/delivery/recording/maintaining QHSE Training database for internal/external training/ refresher training provided in line with legislation and Calor/SHV requirements.
- Support with the completion and recording of Safety/Environmental related risk assessments.
- Work in partnership with Calor employees to ensure environmental/ biodiversity projects are implemented/updating of the All Ireland Pollinator Plan in relation to Calor activities.
- As directed attend Calor workplaces to assist with completion of all other QHSE related admin functions as required.
Requirements
The Person Specification:
- Have worked in a similar role /work environment.
- Hold a recognized Quality, Health and Safety and/or Environmental qualification.
- Hold excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Have the ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization for the purpose of collecting and collating information in order to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work on own initiative when required and work as part of the QHSE Team to promote QHSE information sharing within an open and trusting culture
- Hold a full clean driving license (that is recognized in Ireland) and are willing to travel to other Calor work locations throughout Ireland.
- Experience of working to and implementing ISO standards (mainly ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001)
Familiar with data gathering, logging, analysing, identifying trends and presentation of same
Desirable:
- Carrying out audits/inspections/environmental impact assessments and risk assessments
