We are looking for a Principle Engineer with 5+ years of experience in big data technologies to join us in our Research lab. It is an excellent opportunity to work on Next Generation Analytics Platform focusing on cutting edge Big data amp; AI technologies.
Responsibilities
As a Principal Engineer, you'll be critical in designing, developing, and implementing high-performance software solutions in Rust Or java/Scala. You will directly contribute to building the next generation of highly scalable and reliable data analytics platforms while focusing strongly on data management and optimization technologies.
- Strategically plan Huawei products' future direction and layout, keeping them at the forefront of the market.
- Lead efforts to enhance our product competitiveness by leveraging new technologies and insights.
- Spearheaded both practical and greenfield projects.
- Propose and implement architectural evolution strategies to enhance our NoSQL product capabilities.
- Uphold best practices in data engineering, management, and innovation.
- Design, develop, and deploy high-performance software solutions in Rust, Scala / Java (C/C++ knowledge is a plus)
- Ensure optimization of the technical architecture for improved performance and scalability.
- Foster strong relationships and collaboration with industry experts and research institutions.
- Participate in code reviews, learning, and sharing knowledge with the rest of the team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Big data developer or architect in a performance-critical data analytics environment with solid programming skills in Rust, Java/Scala and C/C++ is preferable for the role.
- Candidate expected to demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in big data (No-SQL) technologies, data management technologies and techniques. Strong experience in Apache Spark and Hadoop technologies is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge and experience in vectorised, distributed amp; federated data processing technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architecture, containers, and related technologies. Preferably K8s, Dockers etc.
- Candidate must have deep knowledge and experience in stream processing technologies and expertise event driven system development.
- Candidate good to have deep knowledge of operating systems, low-level systems programming and performance optimization.
- Candidate must have a strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, memory management, and concurrent programming.
- Candidate must know best practices, coding standards, and software design patterns.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a strong team player.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
