This is a hybrid position which means you will be able to work from home with one day per week in the Kilkenny head office.

We are seeking an experienced individual to join our Finance team as a Finance Assistant . The Finance Assistant will enjoy the opportunity to excel in a fast-paced, performance based, competitive atmosphere with ample opportunities to progress professionally.



Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in a similar busy accounting role
  • ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualified/part qualified or accounting technician qualification
  • Excellent organizational Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with all internal and external parties.
  • Enthusiastic team player with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on their own initiative
  • Work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Previous experience in SAP accounting software an added advantage
  • Previous experience in a shared service centre environment also added advantage

What you will be doing:

  • Assistance with the preparation of monthly management accounts with lead accountant
  • Assistance with the maintenance of the accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers and production of monthly reports of same; preparation of the monthly supplier payments run reports and responsibility for monitoring and chasing receipts from debtors to ensure debtor days are minimized;
  • Monitoring of operational cashflow;
  • Monitoring and payment of corporate expense claims;
  • Support of Travel booking system;
  • Ensuring the continuous and accurate maintenance of the nominal ledger and timely reconciliation of all sub accounts and intercompany balances;
  • Compilation of government and Intrastat returns as required;
  • Preparation of certain reconciliations and oversight of other reconciliations of bank accounts to ensure their accurate and timely completion;
  • Liaising with external parties to include external auditors and Revenue Authorities;
  • Identification and implementation of more efficient finance systems and procedures and continuous process improvements.
  • Assistance with other company accounts as requested by Financial Accountants/ / Financial Controller/CFO.
