About us:

Prestwick Aircraft Maintenance (PAM) Ireland Ltd is Ryanair’s first heavy maintenance facility in Ireland. Established in 2022 the company supports the maintenance of Ryanair's growing Boeing 737 NG and MAX fleet and is located in a 3-bay hangar in Shannon, Co. Clare. The facility employs highly skilled aircraft engineers, mechanics, and support staff.

The Opportunity:

PAM Ireland is currently recruiting a Materials Supervisor to join our team. This is a new position in Shannon which reports to the Materials and Stores Manager and is responsible for a team of two Materials Support Officers.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and running of the materials department in the purchase, repair, and warranty control cycle of parts in relation to base maintenance at PAM.
  • Provide direction, leadership, and support to the Materials Support Officers.
  • Liaison with all Engineering departments amp; Materials including Stores (PAM amp; RYANAIR) to ensure aircraft spares are supplied and expedited on time and in full support for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.

  • Overseeing and assisting in the control of spares in accordance with internal policies and procedures (PAM amp; Ryanair).
  • Assist in the control of U/S parts in accordance with internal policies and procedures (PAM amp; Ryanair).
  • Monitoring of all PAM tooling, ensuring all tooling is calibrated and serviceable and all HM tooling is available when required
  • Monitoring spare part movements to ensure that robberies, loans, and exchanges are documented and controlled in accordance with internal processes.
  • Assisting in the control of freight movements within the UK.
  • Controlling pre-load packages for aircraft checks.
  • Provide the Materials Manager with KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) and collation of reports, data/analysis required from internal computer systems and in support of future materials planning, costs, and forecasting.
  • Overseeing and control of aircraft shortages and Station Parts Alert (SPA) to time, cost and delivery schedule and ensuring all component movements are accurately recorded on AMOS and internal Computer Systems
  • Constant communications with Vendors and stake holders to achieve required results.
  • Ensure that all Company policies, procedures, and standards in the areas of Quality, Safety and Human Resources are followed by the Materials team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years supply chain experience, with demonstrated knowledge of materials management.
  • Previous experience working within the Aviation Industry.
  • Previous leadership experience an advantage.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to deal with multiple suppliers
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to work on your own initiative and manage time effectively. Capable of prioritising a demanding workload to tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high degree of literacy, numeracy and accuracy. Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong IT skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of AMOS desirable.
  • Ability to interpret manuals and drawings such IPC, CMM and AMM
  • Understanding of quality processes and procedures
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU


Monday Friday 40 hours per week.
