As Fenergo’s IT team is growing we now have a unique opportunity for a Director of IT to come and join the team and help us in a time of rapid growth.

Overview of the role

A unique opportunity has arisen to join our organization as the Director of IT. This is a critical role to the future of Fenergo that will allow a successful candidate to lead high-impact projects, influence strategic decisions, work with the latest technology, and drive meaningful improvements in efficiency and scalability that directly impact business outcomes.

The successful candidate will work on projects that are both Corporate IT focused with continuous improvement of cloud services as well as organizational-wide change with the potential to drive information architecture vision. All decision-making on IT projects will rest with this individual as well as the creation of future growth plans.

This is a pivotal role in the company, reporting directly to the Chief Product and Technology Officer, that will engage stakeholders at the highest level of our business. This role will grow in scope and responsibility as we continue to scale our business globally and scale our technology functions in the region.

Job Responsibilities

  • Establishes the strategic direction and is responsible for the delivery of the company’s corporate IT services, including IT processes, IT frameworks across our global entities, integration of new entities, tooling, apps, and systems.
  • Create a roadmap to develop the skills, capabilities, resources, and systems to ensure high internal and external stakeholder satisfaction around technology provision aligned with the set strategic direction
  • Create, plan, and deliver end-to-end technology projects and programs aligned with the set strategic direction
  • Design, develop, and optimize our corporate IT Service, through decision-making, leadership, and stakeholder management.
  • Managing the infrastructure and support teams to make key decisions on the development and growth of these teams to meet future requirements.
  • Manage the IT budget, making investment decisions and evaluating opportunities to enhance our service through increased automation and operational efficiencies as well as managing spending on operational items
  • Create, embed, govern, and maintain IT policies, processes, and systems to support the implementation of the company’s strategy and risk framework.
  • Proactively advising the leadership team on all relevant technology matters including the management and remediation of the group-wide technology and security risk register.
  • Design an organization structure and service delivery model that interacts with key stakeholders across the business, influences decision-making, and supports key business projects.
  • Develop and manage KPIs of the Fenergo IT function to deliver a best-in-class service delivery which includes the creation of a service catalog of advisory IT services across the organization.
  • Leads our Corporate IT security program, ensuring that our Corporate IT landscape has the correct policies, and associated controls in place in line with best practices and industry certifications such as ISO 27001 and SOC
  • IT network - wireless, ISPs, Connectivity
